Day 1 – Saturday 11: Hello Bath…
Arrive into the elegant city of Bath, where timeless heritage, refined culture and honey-coloured Georgian architecture create the perfect beginning to our British adventure. Your guide will meet you this afternoon at our gorgeous boutique hotel, tucked away in a peaceful residential pocket just moments from the heart of the city.
Settle in, unwind and enjoy a relaxed first evening as we prepare for the fabulous journey ahead.

Day 2 – Sunday 12: Jane Austen, Bridgerton & Bath Elegance…
This morning, step into the golden world of Regency Bath with a local expert guide. Wander past the graceful curves of the Royal Crescent and the iconic Pulteney Bridge as we uncover the enchanting filming locations that brought Bridgerton to life.
In the afternoon, we immerse ourselves in the world of Bath’s most celebrated resident, Jane Austen. At the Jane Austen Centre, discover the romance, wit and social intrigue that inspired some of literature’s most beloved novels.
Tonight, we gather for a beautiful welcome dinner – the perfect opportunity to toast the beginning of this unforgettable English escape.

Day 3 – Monday 13: Roman Baths & Regency Indulgence…
Enjoy a lighter breakfast this morning as we prepare for one of Bath’s most iconic experiences. We begin with a celebratory Bucks Fizz Brunch at the magnificent Pump Room, where Regency society once gathered to “take the waters” in grand style.
Afterwards, we step back nearly 2,000 years into the remarkable Roman Baths. Explore the Sacred Spring, ancient temple ruins and the famous Great Bath, where steaming mineral waters still shimmer beneath soaring stone architecture.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy Bath at your own pace. Browse elegant boutiques, sip tea in charming cafés or simply wander the city’s beautiful, cobbled streets before we venture into the Cotswolds tomorrow.

Day 4 – Tuesday 14: Into the Enchanting Cotswolds…
Today we farewell Bath and journey into the rolling countryside of the Cotswolds, travelling along its famed limestone spine through some of England’s most picturesque landscapes.
Our first stop is the breathtaking Westonbirt Arboretum, a spectacular botanical sanctuary home to thousands of extraordinary trees from around the world.
Following lunch, we step into centuries of English history at Chavenage House, a magnificent Elizabethan manor rich in atmosphere and heritage. Fans of British drama may even recognise it from productions including Poldark.
By evening, we arrive in the postcard-perfect village of Bibury, where our charming country hotel awaits.

Day 5 – Wednesday 15: Hiking Through Storybook Villages…
In the morning, after breakfast we’ll transfer to Stow-on-the-Wold and enjoy a classic Cotswolds hike along the Monarch’s Way, linking the charming villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, the Slaughters (much nicer than its name suggests!) and Bourton-on-the-Water (known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’). We’ll enjoy a packed lunch supplied by a local deli before taking some time to walk around this idyllic village and its prized, beautiful river along with its 5 stone bridges that date back to 1654.
Early afternoon we will transfer to Sudeley Castle to take a guided tour of the beautiful gardens and grounds whilst learning about its royal connections spanning a thousand years. If you’re a fan of the Tudor period, you will love this!
A short transfer 30-minute transfer takes us back to our hotel for the evening.

Day 6 – Thursday 16: Roman Villas & The Prettiest Street in England…
A short transfer takes us to Chedworth, home to one of the grandest Roman villas of its time. Here, we’ll discover extraordinarily preserved mosaics, all set within a beautiful, hidden valley.
This afternoon, we head into the historic market town of Cirencester. You’ll have some free time here to explore the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’ at your own pace – perhaps visiting the Corinium Museum to see more Roman treasures, browsing the local boutiques, or relaxing in a café near the parish church. Later, we return to Bibury, where we’ll gather for dinner together to celebrate our last night in the Cotswolds.

Day 7 – Friday 17: Goodbye Cotswolds, hello Glorious Lake District…
Today we journey north into the spectacular Lake District National Park, with ever-changing scenery unfolding along the way.
We pause at Trentham Estate to stretch our legs and enjoy lunch before continuing onwards to Keswick, our beautiful Lake District base.
Once settled into our hotel, there is the option to enjoy a gentle hike to nearby Latrigg, where gorgeous panoramic views across Borrowdale provide the perfect introduction to this breathtaking region.

Day 8 – Saturday 18: Mr McGregor’s Garden…
Today we immerse ourselves in the literary charm and natural beauty of the Lake District. After breakfast, we travel to the picturesque village of Grasmere, where we visit the former home of celebrated poet William Wordsworth before wandering the village’s charming laneways and boutiques.
Of course, no visit to Grasmere would be complete without a stop at the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, where we’ll learn the delicious history behind this beloved local treat and enjoy a tasting.
Depending on the final arrangement of the itinerary, we will either enjoy a beautiful Afternoon Tea overlooking the gardens said to have inspired Beatrix Potter’s Mr McGregor’s Garden, or venture out on a spectacular Lake District hike featuring waterfalls, mountain tarns and breathtaking scenery.
Either way, today promises to be filled with quintessential Lake District magic.

Day 9 – Sunday 19: Yoga, Lakes & Lakeland Beauty…
This morning we’ll drive down the spine of the Lake District along the winding country roads to Windermere for a private session with a local Vinyasa Yoga instructor at the fascinating waterfront location of Windermere Jetty Museum. You’ll enjoy an hour of practising a popular and dynamic style of yoga that emphasises fluid movement and breath synchronisation.
Afterwards, enjoy a refreshment in the Jetty Museums Cafe before boarding a launch (boat) that will take you north on Lake Windermere to the Waterhead Jetty. You’ll have some free time to explore the bustling town of Ambleside in the heart of the Lake District before grabbing lunch and heading out for a stunning walk around Rydal Water. This 6 mile route takes in a variety of terrains while providing some excellent views across the lake, before bringing you back round into Ambleside.

Day 10 – Monday 20: Crossing borders – to Scotland we go…
Today we transfer north to Edinburgh (about 3.5 hours). However, before we leave the Lake District we’ll make a stop at Aira Force on the shores of Ullswater. Quiet glades give way to dramatic waterfalls, we’ll visit a thundering waterfall that drops 65 feet past ferns and rocks. Made even more picturesque by the small stone bridge at the bottom. There are so many woodland trails to discover in this landscape of contrasts. Afterwards, we’ll head north to Edinburgh, a journey of around 3 hours through the winding Scottish countryside.
Once we have arrived, we’ll settle into our hotel in a beautiful part of the New Town district. Choose to dine in at this beautiful hotel or walk to the Old Town (only 10 minutes away) and explore what’s on offer!

Day 11 – Tuesday 21: Exploring the Scottish Capital…
After breakfast, it’s time to explore!
A day exploring Edinburgh, including the famous Old Town district which has UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Enjoy a morning with a fascinating local guide, who will show you the city through their own personal insight, past, present and future. You’ll finish with a tasting of the national dish of Scotland, the Haggis.
Take the afternoon to continue your exploration on your own as Edinburgh has too much to offer. The history is incredible and Edinburgh Castle is just the tip of the iceberg. Museums are free here and of course for those who love modern royal history, Britannia, the retired favourite yacht of Queen Elizabeth II is moored here!

Day 12 – Wednesday 22: Heading for the Highlands…
This morning we transfer north to Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands (3 hours). After lunch, we visit a small croft run by two remarkable ladies dedicated to small-scale farming in tune with nature.
Afterwards, we’ll continue to the attractive village of Aberlour and check into our hotel. There should be time for a short walk in the village, perhaps along the banks of the River Spey, or up to a waterfall that is close to the hotel, before dinner.

Day 13 – Thursday 23: Hiking & a Whiskey tasting…
Today offers two wonderful ways to experience the beauty of the Highlands.
For those seeking a gentler experience, we travel to Findhorn for a scenic coastal walk along part of the Moray Coastal Trail, where dramatic sea views and fresh Highland air create a truly memorable experience.
Alternatively, more adventurous hikers may choose to tackle Ben Rinnes, a rewarding and more challenging Highland hike with spectacular panoramic views.

This afternoon, we visit a traditional Scottish distillery to discover the craftsmanship behind one of Scotland’s most iconic exports, complete with a whisky tasting experience.

Friday 24: A Toast to Scotland…
Our final full day together is truly special as we visit renowned chef and writer Ghillie Basan, who has spent much of her life living off-grid in the Highlands.
Begin with a peaceful nature walk through the surrounding landscape, pausing to enjoy either a warming dram of whisky or a hot drink amongst the hills.
Later, gather around the table to learn about Ghillie’s philosophy towards food, life and Scottish hospitality before enjoying a beautiful long lunch banquet complete with wine as we toast this unforgettable British adventure together.

Saturday 25: Farewell Highlands…
Sadly all good things must come to an end.
A 90-minute transfer takes us to the capital of the Highlands, Inverness. We’ll have a little bit of time to wander around the high street before we say our farewells as the trip comes to a close around lunchtime.
Included is a group transfer to the railway station then Inverness Airport depending on your choice of departure transport.
