Winter Wonderland Winter Wonderland
The second in our series of Journeys-of-a-Lifetime, this exquisite tour is a true Winter Wonderland experience!

Imagine the majesty of an arctic winter,  endless snow and quiet, the possibility of the Northern Lights, catching up with Santa, jumping into a snow safari with huskies and reindeer and then sleeping in your very own glass igloo......

This amazing  winter adventure begins with immersion into the beauty of Tallin, the exquisite capital of Estonia.   And if you think that anything that has former 'Soviet' included in its past means brown and drab, then be happy to be proved wrong in this delightful city.  A fusion of modern and medieval there is so much to explore, plus the divine Christmas Market will still be in action on arrival!  Gluwein, great restaurants, baroque palaces, church spires, skyscrapers and shopping malls, a vibrant culture - it is all here just waiting for you to explore....

It is then into the Arctic-Circle territory (trying for the best shot at seeing the Northern Lights) with a trip to Saariselka, and home for the next 3 nights, a fabulous boutique hotel/lodge that is the former private lodge of the President of Finland.  During our time here we explore via a husky safari and a reindeer safari, enjoy an incredible dining experience for New Years Eve, have time to kick back and chill (not literally), and search for the incredible Northern Lights; be ensconced in this beautiful winter location for a few days to disconnect from hectic life and reconnect with yourself in this luxurious environment.

Then to Santa land, via the incredible Arctic Snow Hotel, which is newly carved each year out of snow for a different appearance.  Enjoy a drink in the Ice Bar (in a glass made of ice!), a private guided tour followed by lunch at the Hotel before we head off to our next fabulous establishment in Rovaniemi.  It is then time to overnight in your very own glass igloo, and watch out for the Northern Lights from the 'snuggliness' of your bed!  Before that, we have a private dinner in a wilderness lodge, where Santa will visit to take our order for Christmas in 2019.....

Enjoy a visit to the Santa Village before heading back to Helsinki to indulge in the delights of this lovely city.  We enjoy a private Design tour, fab dining experiences and if we are lucky the Lux Helsinki Light Festival will be on for us to enjoy.

This is truly a Journey-of-a-Lifetime offering unadulterated luxury, exploriation and adventure in the heart of a winter wonderland.  We can assist with airfares and travel insurance and pre and post accommodation should you want to go a little earlier or leave a little later.  The choice is yours on this divine experience.

GETTING THERE:
The most efficient long haul connections are with Finnair into Helsinki and then connecting onto Tallin.  We will advise required arrival time into Tallin for the group transfer to our hotel.  There are many European airlines that  also connect from European capitals into Tallin if you are arriving from a different entry point.  Ask us for details.
